8-channel video installation
This project featuring eight looping videos that capture the reflections of trees in water. The wind-stirred surface continuously distorts the images, creating a meditative viewing experience that shifts between poetic, abstract, serene, and realistic moments. Curator Iris Amizlev observes: “In this series, the actual trees are absent; only their inverted reflections on water remain—ephemeral and elusive, like whispers in the wind. Constantly in flux, they dissolve into vaporous abstractions, momentarily coalescing into fleeting apparitions before dematerializing once more as the wind erases them.” The title of this work is inspired by a renowned Chinese poem: 树欲静而风不止
