Dating App

Usually in the morning,
I receive more “likes”
from a dating app I just installed.

People wake from their dreams,
reach for the phones beside their pillows,
still searching for other dreams.

I scroll through their profiles —
each for less than a few seconds —
deleting, as easily as a child
pops rainbow-colored bubbles.
